Michael M. Polowczuk

Michael M. Polowczuk is the founder of SolisWare, an independent software brand focused on applications, developer tools, and open-source software. He leads SolisWare’s strategy, product development, and engineering, overseeing projects from their initial concept and design through development, testing, and release.

Michael has more than six years of professional experience in software development, spanning frontend and backend engineering. His work includes enterprise software, web applications, REST APIs, developer tooling, performance optimization, and cross-platform development, with experience in technologies including Java, TypeScript, React, Electron, PHP, HTML, CSS, XSLT, and Android development. Throughout his career, he has worked across different stages of the software development lifecycle, from designing and implementing new functionality to maintaining and improving established software systems.

Michael advocates for the practical use of AI-assisted development tools to improve modern engineering workflows, and uses tools such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code in his work to support development, prototyping, debugging, testing, code reviews, and technical research.

Michael has been developing independent software projects for over a decade, with that work eventually evolving into SolisWare. His long-standing interest in technology and software development continues to shape his approach to innovation and entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University.
